Woodlands
The woodlands at Eastridge cover some 300 acres and the Estate is proactive in its woodland management work. The existing, mature, areas of woodland are thinned and maintained according to a Forestry Commission approved woodland management plan, and new areas of woodland have been planted in recent years. The woodlands are mainly broadleaf, but with some coniferous plantations. Areas of hazel coppice have recently been brought back under management after many years.
